Five accused drug lords appearing in the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo.
Five accused drug lords are this morning expected back in the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo.
Frederick Botha, Simphiwe Khumalo and three Mexican nationals, Ruben Vidal Rodriguez, Gutierrez Lopez Alejandro and Gonzalez Jorge Partida were arrested in July following a bust at an illegal drug manufacturing laboratory on a farm.
The farm belongs to Botha.
Drugs worth over R2 billion were discovered.
During their previous appearance, the South Africans, Botha and Khumalo, were denied bail.
The court ruled that the accused are flight risk.
Their Mexican co-accused have not yet applied for bail.
The court was yet to appoint a Spanish interpreter.
The accused have been in custody since their arrest in July this year. – Reporting by Avhapfani Munyai
