Suspended Ekurhuleni Metro Police Deputy Chief, Julius Mkhwanazi, has apologised before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee after admitting that he accepted money from alleged criminal kingpin businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.
During questioning, Mkhwanazi conceded that the payments were inappropriate, telling Members of Parliament (MPs) that he regrets the decision and has since reflected on the consequences of associating with the wrong people.
