Two of the accused in the Meyiwa murder trial
Defence witness Sifiso Zungu is expected to continue to testify when the Senzo Meyiwa trial resumes in the High Court in Pretoria this morning.
Zungu has distanced himself from a signed statement linking the five accused.
According to the statement the accused were together in Vosloorus, south east of Johannesburg on the day the former Bafana Bafana captain was shot dead in October 2014.
The statement which state prosecutor George Baloyi read out also states that Meyiwa’s girlfriend Kelly Khumalo had ordered the contract killing.
“I am not sure who exactly pulled the trigger, but it was clear that all five of them were part of it. When Muzi and Mafika told me, they also told me that the information to kill Senzo Meyiwa came from his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo.”
