Two suspects from Pfananani Village in Limpopo have been arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl. It is alleged that on December 29, the girl went to a neighbour’s house to charge cellphones.
The suspects, aged 17 and 21, who were reportedly under the influence of alcohol, allegedly forced her into the house and raped her. Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the suspects were later apprehended by local police and are expected to appear in court on Monday.
“The incident was immediately reported to the local police station, the police then opened a rape case that was transferred to Makhado FCS unit. A massive manhunt of the suspects was activated and that led to their apprehension at Pfananani Village, Tshitale Policing Area, on Saturday, 3rd January 2026. They are expected to appear before Tshitale Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 5th January 2026, facing a charge of rape”.
