IPHC leader Mike Sandlana denied bail


The International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) Jerusalema leader, Michael Sandlana has been denied bail.

Sandlana made a brief appearance at the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court today where his application for bail was denied.

The 64-year-old is accused of bribing high court judge Portia Phahlane to rule in his favour in civil matters related to a church leadership dispute.

The case has been postponed to the 26th of March 2026 for further investigations.

Magistrate Nica Setshogoe says, “In the premise I make the following order, I dismiss the application of the applicant herein to be released on bail.”
