Residents attend launch of solar energy plant
Residents at Mabvete and Madimbo villages outside Musina in Limpopo have welcomed the launch of the local solar electricity plant by Eskom.
Electricity and Energy Minister Doctor Kgosientsho Ramokgopa opened the plant on Friday at Madimbo.
Over 600 homes will access electricity, apollo lights and free WiFi at all government buildings.

Residents believes that this will help small business owners.
“It’s bringing light at our villages and won’t have problems with electricity. It will also help us as small business owners, we are happy for this solar energy project because it’s going to help us a lot, we are also thankful for the apollo lights, it will also help us when there is load reduction.”
