Mpumalanga police are investigating two counts of murder after the discovery of two decomposed bodies of women in a house in KaMagugu outside the Mbombela CBD.
Police made the gruesome discovery after neighbours spotted flies on the windows of the house. The neighbours say there was also a foul smell coming out of the house.
Apparently, the police were summoned to the scene after calls to the owner of the house went to voicemail.
Provincial police spokesperson Jabu Ndubane says the victims were aged 64 and 20.
Ndubane says preliminary investigation suggests that the two were murdered. It is yet to be established if any items were removed from the house.
