Law Enforcement Operation in Mpumalanga
Mpumalanga’s Community Safety and Security Liaison Department is urging motorists to drive with caution in the province due to rainfall and increased traffic volumes in parts of the province.
Mpumalanga is a gateway to the neighboring Mozambique and the Kingdom of eSwatini.
More traffic is expected from Friday next week.
Authorities have called on motorists to obey the rules of the road and ensure that vehicles are roadworthy.
The department’s spokesperson Moeti Mmusi says law enforcement will be intensified across the province this festive season.
”Many will be attending weddings, various family functions and celebrations as well as end-of-year functions, and this is expected to have an impact on traffic volumes and also increase incidents of drinking and driving.”
