National Police commissioner Fannie Masemola
National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola will visit Saulsville, West of Pretoria, on Monday, after the weekend killing of 12 people at a local tavern.
Police say three gunmen allegedly entered the tavern at the local hostel in the early hours of Sunday morning and opened fire on patrons at random.
At least three significant tavern shootings have been reported in Pretoria since 2024, including two linked to the same illegal tavern in Saulsville, Atteridgeville, and another in the Centurion area.
