Springboks seal perfect European tour with win over Ireland

Reigning Rugby World Cup champions, South Africa, have made it four wins out of four on their end-of-year European tour by beating Ireland in Dublin for the first time in 13 years.

The Springboks, not at their sparkling best, recorded a 24-13 victory at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

They scored four tries to one, which included a penalty try, against their hosts, who were ill-disciplined and cannon fodder in the scrums.

As a result, they were reduced to 12 men at one stage.

The match, billed as the Springboks’ toughest of the year, was also Rassie Erasmus’s first win in Dublin as Springbok coach.
