SAFA President Danny Jordaan and co-accused appear in Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Court, December 2024.
The ongoing fraud court case against South African Football Association President Danny Jordaan and his three co-accused has been further delayed.
One of the accused, director and owner of Grit Communications, Trevor Neethling, has asked the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court for the prosecutor to recuse himself.
According to Neethling’s legal representative, the prosecutor has access to privileged information that can jeopardise his case.
This matter will now be heard on December 9, while the prosecution hopes to set a trial date when the four accused reappear on February 11, 2026.
Jordaan, SAFA CFO Groni Hluyo, Neethling, as well as former SAFA acting CEO Russel Paul face multiple counts of fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud related to the alleged misappropriation of R1.3 million in SAFA resources.
