Police seize dagga worth approximately R12.3 million in Colesburg


Police in Colesburg in the Northern Cape have seized dagga worth approximately R12.3 million. 

They say they stopped a bakkie near a fuel station on the N1 towards the Eastern Cape and found bags of dagga loaded in the back during their search.

A 39-year-old foreign national has been arrested.  

Provincial spokesperson Cherelle Ehlers says, “Police found several bags of dagga at the back of the bakkie, and the suspect was subsequently arrested. The driver is expected to appear in court soon on a charge of illegal dealing in drugs.”
