A 17-year-old boy and four others accused of involvement in a shooting incident in Westbury will be back in Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday next week.
The group appeared in court on Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting of two people and wounding five others last month.
The accused face two counts of murder and five counts of attempted murder.
National Prosecuting Authority Phindi Mjonondwane explains, “Five accused persons, who all of them can not be named at this stage to protect the integrity of the on-going investigation. They were all remanded in custody for the minor who was moved to a place of safety, until the 13th of November when all of them will be back in court for a formal bail hearing.”
