KZN Premier Thami Ntuli with SAPS officers at Golela Border
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli has called for the national government to engage with Mozambique and eSwatini to address escalating cross- border crimes in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
Ntuli held a crime Imbizo in Ngwavuma where he met affected communities.
For many years, residents who own bakkies and other big vehicles have been targeted by cross-border crime syndicates.
Several victims have been killed and their vehicles taken across the border to Mozambique.
Ntuli says that they are working with the neighboring countries to fight this and police have been able to recover that was taken acroos the border to Mozambique by working with Mozambicans.
He has also promised to raise the issue with President Cyril Ramaphosa.
