The police in Cape Town, Western Cape have re-apprehended two of the four suspects who escaped from the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court earlier this week.
One of the suspects – Linda Soyeza – handed himself over to police yesterday, whilst the others were located in Grassy Park.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg says the circumstances around their escape are still under investigation and the police are following up leads to re-arrest the outstanding two suspects, Mphumeleli Lufutha and Ismail George.
The suspects between the ages of 22 and 33 appeared in court on charges of illegal possession of firearms, housebreaking, and a warrant of arrest.
Sergeant Twigg says anyone with information on the whereabouts of the other suspects to contact the police.
