Limpopo pig farm murder trial postponed to November


The murder trial against a Limpopo pig farmer and his co-accused has been postponed in the High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo.

The second accused, Rudolph de Wet, who is now a state witness, has told the court that he was tortured by police on the day of his arrest.

De Wet was testifying against the accused, Zacharia Olivier and co-accused William Musora.

The accused are on trial for the double murder of Maria Makgato and Kudzai Ndlovu and the attempted murder of Mabutho Ncube.

Judge Jane Ngobeni adjourned the matter to next month.

“You can rise Mr Olivier and Mr Musora, the case against both of you is postponed to the 3rd of November 2025, that is for further hearing. You are both still remanded in custody and Mr De Wet, you are warned for the 3rd of November of 2025. So, that we can proceed with the trial and Mr De Wet just make sure that you don’t commit for the dates of 3rd, 4th and the 5th of November of 2025.”
