Closing arguments to be heard in Mbenenge case

The Judicial Conduct Tribunal will on Tuesday hear closing arguments in the sexual harassment case involving Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge.

A court official, Andiswa Mengo, lodged a complaint against Mbenenge in 2021.

She claims the Judge President made unwanted advances and sent her inappropriate messages.

The tribunal which retired Judge Bernard Ngoepe is chairing will hear both sides wrapping their arguments before making its recommendations to the Judicial Service Commission.
