The South African Weather Services has issued a warning for heavy rains and thunderstorms in parts of the country this week.
This comes after a rainy weekend across the country.
Forecaster Tokelo Chiloane says a cold front later this week will bring more rain.
“The South African Weather Service has issued a yellow level four warning for severe thunderstorms over the western parts of the North West province, as well as a yellow level two warning for severe thunderstorms over the central parts of the North West, the north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape, and the northern parts of the Free State for Monday.”
Chiloane adds: “From Wednesday onwards, no significant rainfall is expected across the country. However, there will be a gradual increase in temperatures, especially over the central and eastern provinces.”
