Muzi Sibiya denies knowledge of Senzo Meyiwa’s murder location

Accused number one in the Senzo Meyiwa trial, Muzi Sibiya, has denied knowing the location of the crime scene in Vosloorus where the soccer captain was murdered.

Five men are currently on trial at the High Court in Pretoria for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain at the parental home of his then girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo.

“They kept saying I must take them to where Senzo Meyiwa died. That is when I informed them (that) I don’t know where Senzo Meyiwa died, and I know nothing about the death of Senzo Meyiwa. That is where they started assaulting me, placing a plastic over my head. Some of them kicking me.”

Sibiya, who is alleged to have been the one acting as lookout when two intruders entered the Khumalo home, denies any involvement in the murder and conspiracy to murder Meyiwa.

He is expected back on the stand on Wednesday morning when the trial resumes.
