Xolani Khumalo is the ActionSA mayoral candidate for Ekurhuleni
The presenter of the reality television show Sizok’thola, Xolani Khumalo, has been announced as ActionSA candidate for Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni for the 2026 Local Government Elections.
The announcement was made by ActionSA President Herman Mashaba on Saturday.
Khumalo says job creation is important for the city. He says he will drive the establishment of township enterprise hubs that will grow local businesses.
“I will cut the red tape that keeps investors away and make this city efficient again. We will build a local economy that puts South Africans first. We must restore dignity to our families by upgrading informal settlements, starting with light for safety. Clean water, sanitation, those are things that are necessary that we need as humans that are living in our society. Those are the things that are going to happen. These are not dreams.”
