Chatsworth youth centre to host prestigious acting master class

A movie production house has called on aspiring actors to submit motivational letters for an acting master class.

Renowned actresses Jailoshini Naidoo and Maeshni Naicker will be featured.

The class is set to take place on the eleventh of next month at the Nelson Mandela Community Youth Centre in Chatsworth, southern Durban.

Naidoo says they are eager to give back to the residents of their hometown.

“I’m so excited for it. I know my niche in it’s an acting master class that Urban Vision has decided to put together in partnership with the Youth Centre in Chatsworth, with an amazing Clive Pillay. Urban Vision, headed by Jay Moudley, who is the director and producer of the Kandasamis. And this has been something that she’s always had on her mind.

Naidoo adds, “In fact, from the beginning, from the very first Kandasamy, we have been having this discussion constantly over the years through the four movies that we have to do something with the community. We were so pleased. I am at heart a Chatsworth girl. I’ve grown up born in Chatsworth, grown up in Chatsworth, spent most of my life in Chatsworth.”
