Alleged gang boss, Nafiz Modack, has been sentenced to an effective 7-year direct imprisonment by the Cape Town Regional Court.
Modack was found guilty of corruption in June after he allegedly paid R146,000 to a high-ranking police officer, Kolindren Govender, to recover his stolen vehicles, using state resources.
Modack was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment, but three years of his sentence have been suspended for five years providing he does not involve himself in corrupt activities.
