Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with the cash-in-transit robbery at Dawn Park in Ekurhuleni earlier this month. This brings to five the number of suspects arrested for the cash heist.

The trio will appear in different courts on Monday morning. Two bystanders were shot and killed during a shootout between police and a group of eight robbers during the cash heist.
“Three suspects are making their first appearance in the Pretoria North and Germiston Magistrate’s Courts, respectively, following their arrests on the 11th of September 2025. Kgomotso Zitha was granted R10 000 bail upon his appearance on the 10th of September 2025 and his alleged accomplice, Andile Mabaso, was denied and remanded in custody,” says Hawks spokesperson Katlego Mogale.
Mogale says both will reappear in court on September 17, 2025.
