The African National Congress (ANC) says it’s banking on Johannesburg Mayor’s “Bomb Squad” team to work around the clock to address the city’s dire challenges ahead of the summit in November.
Other issues include the ongoing water outages in some areas of Johannesburg. An ANC Special NEC meeting is under way in Boksburg, in eastern Johannesburg to discuss the state of local government.
“When it comes to Johannesburg, it may not be possible for all of the citizens of Johannesburg to benefit from the current dividend that is currently underway,” says the party’s National Spokesperson, Mahlengi Bhengu.
