Two young children die after eating snacks from spaza shop

North West Police are investigating the death of two children, aged three and four years old. The children are said to have died after consuming snacks, bought from a local spaza shop in Jouberton near Klerksdorp.

Police Spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone has appealed to the enraged residents to not take matters into their own hands.

“South African Police Service in Jouberton, North West, have opened an inquest docket for investigation after information was received that two children aged three and four died after reportedly consuming snacks bought from a nearby spaza shop on Thursday afternoon. The police would like to urge the public not to do anything unlawful and afford the police time to do their investigations,” says Mokgwabone.
