A man has been shot and killed and two others injured, at Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain, in Cape Town, after they came under attack by a lone gunman last night.
Police Spokesperson Wesley Twigg says that the three victims were sitting on the side of the road when the incident happened. He says that the motive for the attack is still unknown.
According to reports, the victims were sitting on an electricity box when the suspect approached them and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
The 23-year-old victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel, while the other victims were taken to a medical facility for treatment.
Mitchell’s Plain detectives are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder.
