Witch doctor found with Gontse Makhubela’s remains back in court

A Mozambican witch doctor is expected to appear before the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Isaac Shikomboya faces charges of contravening the Immigration Act, the National Health Act, and being in possession of human body parts.

He is linked to the brutal murder of 20-year-old Gontse Makhubela, in 2023.

The matter was postponed because his legal representative did not show up in court.

Makhubela had just begun to make a life for herself after completing her matric when she was brutally murdered while working as an intern at a furniture shop.

Her assailants posed as potential clients to lure her to her death.

North West police nabbed 29-year-old South African Serame Moroke and 38-year-old Mozambican immigrant, Samuel Mlambo. They were found in possession of Makhubela’s cellphone.

Further investigation led to the arrest of a Mozambican traditional healer in Winterveld. He was allegedly found in possession of the deceased’s body parts.
