Buthelezi’s resting place being launched as a heritage site in KZN

Various dignitaries, local leaders, religious leaders and community members have arrived at the KwaPhindangene palace at Ulundi in Northern KwaZulu-Natal for the launch of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi’s resting place as a provincial heritage site.

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli will officiate the proceedings. The declaration of a provincial heritage site is the start of a project to preserve the legacy of Buthelezi.

The founder of the IFP died in 2023 and was buried at his homestead.

The provincial government has pointed out that apart from his long political career, Buthelezi was also involved in various other fields.

Among other things, he was a traditional prime minister to three AmaZulu kings.
