Case of alleged underworld crime boss Jerome Booysen continues


The case of alleged underworld crime boss, Jerome Booysen and 11 co-accused is expected to resume in the High Court in Cape Town on Monday morning.

Last week, the prosecution called a witness who deals with intercepted calls.

The court is dealing with a trial-within-a-trial.

The aim is to determine the admissibility of transcripts of intercepted phone calls between Booysen, his former co-accused and now deceased Mark Lifman, Andre Naude and others.

Accusations against Booysen include the murder of alleged steroid smuggler, Brian Wainstein in 2017.
