Six people have been killed following a crash involving two trucks on the N12 freeway, just after the R42 Bronkhorstspruit/ Delmas Offramp, in Mpumalanga on Monday morning.
It’s understood that one of the trucks, which was transporting approximately 22 farm workers to a farm in the area, was stationary in the emergency lane of the N12 when another truck crashed into it from the rear.
Six other people also sustained minor to serious injuries.
Provincial Community Safety, Security and Liaison spokesperson Moeti Mmusi says the injured people have been taken to nearby hospitals.
