DJ Sumbody’s murder case postponed to August

The case of four suspects arrested in connection with the killing of Oupa Sefoka, popularly known as DJ Sumbody and two of his bodyguards has been postponed at the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg.

All four suspects, including the alleged mastermind Katiso “KT” Molefe, were arrested in Gauteng earlier this month.

Sefoka was killed in a hail of bullets in Woodmead in November 2022.

Molefe, together with his three alleged hired hitmen, made a brief appearance in the dock with their faces covered in masks, before their case was postponed.

Molefe’s bail application was postponed to 6 August, due to his defence not being adequately prepared to proceed today.

Meanwhile, the case against the other three accused, as well as Molefe, has been postponed to the 18th of September for further investigations.

They are all facing charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
