Johannesburg’s City Power is refuting reports that its headquarters were raided by the Hawks on Friday afternoon. They have, however, confirmed that the Directorate of Investigating Priority Crimes visited its premises to deliver a formal request for information about the business.
Some media outlets reported that a raid and seizure took place at the power utility, alleging that documents, files, and IT equipment were confiscated.
But in a media statement, City Power also refuted these claims and denied that any interrogation took place. The entity says it will cooperate fully with the Hawks’ request.
