For Mandela Day Philip Seroux coordinated logistics to raise funds and collect equipment for, to build the dilapidated house of an elderly woman in Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo.
Businesses, individuals, correctional services, police and other role-players in Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo, have collaborated to repair the dilapidated house of a 75-year-old woman.
This is part of Mandela Day celebrations this month.
Project leader, Phillip Seroux, says everyone he reached out to assisted to turn the house into a home again.
“I came to the house, I saw the house was broken down. There were no doors, no windows, no ceiling, nothing. The Lord put in my heart to do it for Ouma. I go to the sponsors, the Correctional Services, all the sponsors involved in the project. I spoke to them and said that’s what I’m doing today for Mandela Day and they gave all the materials,” says Seroux.
