The co-owner of the Mamohau Day-care centre in Dewetsdorp in the Free State has expressed excitement after Premier MaQueen Letshoha-Mathae handed over items, including blankets.
MECs are accompanying the Premier.
The centre’s owner Matseko Lekeno says the Nelson Mandela International Day has brought her and her team such joy.
Provincial government officials kicked off the commemoration of the day by handing out blankets to various day-care centres in Dewetsdorp.
Lekeno says the blankets are handy for children, especially in winter.
She says, “This day to me is bigger than my birthday, I am really happy today. I am proud of the Premier for what she has done for us. I want to thank the office of the Premier, as well as the social development.”
