Torrential rains and localized flooding reported in the Durban Area.
Durban’s eThekwini Municipality has warned residents to be aware of possible disruptive rainfall in the region.
This follows a Level 2 weather warning issued by the South African Weather service for disruptive rainfall and isolated showers in parts of the province this morning continuing into the evening.
The weather service says persistent rain may result in flooding of low-lying areas, bridges, and of formal and informal settlements.
Motorists have also been cautioned to drive with extreme care on wet roads.
The city further advised residents living in flood-prone areas to take necessary safety precautions.
