SAAPA secretary general Aadielah Maker-Diedericks says the accessibility of alcohol and limited legislation affects vulnerable populations, like the youth.

“We need to acknowledge that people in the northern countries have become more alcohol literate and there are more regulations in the countries in the north, so the alcohol industries is coming to African countries, particularly the sub-Saharan Africa, where we got limited legislation and we got a pool of young people to be captured,” adds Maker-Diedericks.
