Road management company, the N3 Toll Concession, has advised winter holidaymakers to exercise caution on the road during the cold weather.
The company says a review of crash data from the 2024 winter season shows that a number of crashes occur at night.
Chief operating officer of N3 Toll Concession, Thania Dhoogra, says those using routes between KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng should remember to stay alert behind the wheel.
“Avoid distractions and prevent fatigue and drowsiness while driving by taking regular breaks, getting fresh air, and staying hydrated. adopt defensive driving techniques and stay informed of travel conditions by following official news sources.”
