Speaking at the memorial, Eastern Cape Acting Premier Mlungisi Mvoko says they will mobilise all local leaders to ensure victims are assisted
“We are promising that we will be with them until their lives improve or they get better from the disaster. We are also pleading with government officials to ensure that whatever is being contributed, is meant for all the people that were hit by the disaster – [and it should] go to them. It does not go anywhere else,” explains Mvoko.
