Government has called on young people to take advantage of opportunities in the infrastructure development sector.
Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean Macpherson says the government is creating a lot of opportunities aimed at fighting unemployment among the youth.
He was speaking at a career expo in Mbombela.
βThere are opportunities for skills, skilled people and unskilled people to get involved and find employment and bring dignity to their homes for you and your family in South Africa, this opportunities that people can see where we are headed, where the structure pipeline is geared towards. We want to instill some motivation that things can get better and we, as government, we also have a responsibility to assist them,β says Macpherson.
πThe exhibition at the Cultural & Creative Industries Youth Career Expo gave young people a hands-on experience with careers in music, design, visual arts, publishing, and more.
They explored, engaged, and left inspired to take the next step in their creative journeys.β¦ pic.twitter.com/jrHFH9shiC
