Limpopo man arrested for allegedly setting neighbour’s house on fire

A 38-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly burning down his neighbour’s house at Nhombelani village in Limpopo. The owner of the house was allegedly intervening to separate two people who were involved in a fight when one of them turned on him and burned his house.

“Police were called to the scene and immediately commenced with investigations. A manhunt was launched for the suspect, who was successfully apprehended. The total damage is estimated at R15,000 including the mud hut structure and all belongings that were destroyed in the fire. The suspects is scheduled to appear in the Malamulele Magistrates Court on Monday facing a charge of arson,” says Police Spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
