Presley Chweneyagae at the SAFTA Awards
A colleague of the late internationally acclaimed actor Presley Chweneyagae has defined him as a hardworking artist, whose work will forever be remembered.
Leungo Masire addressed those in attending Chweneyagae’s memorial service at the Mmabatho Convention Centre in Mahikeng.
Chweneyagae passed away last Tuesday in Pretoria.

Masire adds they were all passionate about acting, however, Presley always stood out because of how playful and funny he was since you acting requires one to play around with ideas.
“Don’t be afraid to make a fool of yourself, know how to improvise, and most importantly, discipline; and that’s how he approached his work,” adds Maseri.
“In 2000 we were both cast on our first television series called Orlando on SABC 2, written by Paul Grootboom and Aubrey Sekhabi, where he played a ‘Tsotsi’ for the very first time on screen. What I loved about him is that every single character he was given, he excelled at it,” says Masire.
