Two taxi owners killed in a shooting spree, SAPS investigates

Limpopo police are investigating a taxi-related shooting that claimed three lives and injured one person in Musina. Two taxi owners and a suspect were killed during a shooting spree over the weekend.

Police say two gunmen opened fire on taxi owners who were seated at a food outlet. One of the gunmen was also killed and the other escaped.

Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says, “Police recovered a firearm with ammunition believed to belong to the deceased suspect, along with several cartridges and fragments from the scene. The Provincial Commissioner has assured the community that investigators are working around the clock and expect a breakthrough soon. Three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder have been opened at Musina police station.”
