National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola says they have issued a reward of R350 000 to anyone who has information that will lead to a breakthrough in the disappearance of three police constables.

The three missing police constables disappeared on Wednesday while travelling to Limpopo for their deployment.

He says they do not want to speculate on the motive of the mysterious disappearance of the officers.

Masemola has called on the cooperation of the public, saying they believe that someone out there knows something. He has met with family members of the three police officers.

Families of the missing say they want answers from the police commissioner. Speaking to the SABC, the families express concern that information from the police has not been consistent, leaving them open to other sources of information that could be misleading.

“It’s been four days now, and there is still no information. Why is it that we, as the family, are the ones most in the dark? We get information from other sources, especially on social media, about what could possibly have transpired in this case. There are allegations and things being said on social media. We, as a family, don’t know who to trust or believe. These sources give us information that seems to have some substance.”
