This comes as many holidaymakers are expected to return home as the Easter weekend draws to a close.
N3TC Chief Operating Officer Thania Dhoogra has urged road users to plan ahead.
“It is likely that the bulk of the traffic will be travelling in a north bound direction towards Gauteng but road users should prepare for congestion and delays in both directions. Please remember that law enforcement and other road incident management teams are deployed and will be maintaining a highly visible presence all along the N3 toll route.”
