Minister of Public Works Dean Macpherson announced the Sarah Baartman Centre as a priority project that will be done by a strategic and specialized delivery unit.
The Sarah Baartman Remembrance Centre is among 30 other projects that will be completed by the specialized unit.
Macpherson says that fortnightly progress reports will cross his desk to ensure that projects are finished as quickly as possible.
“I want our infrastructure to benefit our communities, I want out communities to have dignity and I want them to grow. To achieve this, we have established clear priorities. Enhancing service delivery, eliminating inefficiencies. Making sure we are transparent and making sure public assets are used for public good.”
