Veteran South African actor Don Mlangeni Nawa has passed away. His family confirmed his death in a statement.
Nawa was best known for his iconic role as Zeb Matabane on the SABC 3 soapie, Isidingo, and as Laqhasha on the classic SABC 1 sitcom, Sgudi ‘Snaysi.
People have since taken to social media to share their messages of condolences.
The ANC has also extended its condolences to Nawa’s family.
In a post on X, the party’s Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula, says: “We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all South Africans who were touched by his immense talent and contribution to our nation’s arts and culture. His work not only entertained but also reflected the stories, struggles, and triumphs of our people.”

Government has also taken to social media to express its condolences.
