A man has been arrested in Mandeni, KwaZulu-Natal, for possession of suspected stolen electrical items belonging to Eskom, valued at approximately R15o 000.
According to the provincial police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda, the arrest was made possible through an intelligence-led operation called Operation Vala Umdodi.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon…
“Police operationalised a tip-off about a man who was suspected of being in possession of suspected stolen property. When police arrived at the suspect’s residence on Plova Crescent at KwaTasi in Mandeni, they found the suspect in possession of electrical items belonging to Eskom, with an estimated value of R150 000. The suspect was arrested for possession of suspected stolen property and will appear in court soon.”
