Family awaits report after University of Venda student’s death

The family of a University of Venda student who was found dead on Wednesday, last week, at his off-campus residence say they are waiting for a forensic report on the cause of his death.

Vhutshilo Munyai was found dead in his room by security officers who alerted the University management in Thohoyandou, Limpopo.

Munyai’s aunt, Talifhani Netshitavhadulu says Munyai was a friendly person.

Netshitavhadulu says the family has many questions about his death.

“The University management came to our home and informed us that Vhutshilo was found dead at his off-campus residence. We were all shocked because they were telling us that when they had already taken him to the mortuary. As the family, we want to know what happened to him and why did they take him to the mortuary without informing us first. We have so many questions. But yet there are no reasonable answers.”
