Families who have lost their loved ones in the Soshanguve shooting seen during a meeting with Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.
Two suspects arrested in connection with the murder of six people at Marry Me informal settlement in Soshanguve are expected to appear before the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
The suspects were arrested yesterday.
Four of the victims remain in hospital while two have since been discharged.
Hawks Spokesperson, Christopher Singo, says the suspects face charges of murder, attempted murder, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
“On 24 March, information was received. The police followed up information and found the first suspect in Soshanguve Extension 20. Police recovered one firearm, 9MM Girsan with ammunition and serial numbers filed off. The police proceeded to the second address in Soshanguve Extension 6 where the second suspect was arrested. During the arrest, the suspect was found in possession of 9MM CZ with ammunition and its serial number also filed off,” says Singo.
