A crime scene were a shooting happen cordoned off.
The death toll in the incident in which patrollers were gunned down in Soshanguve in northern Pretoria has risen to six. Six others are still in hospital.
Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, who is visiting the area, has confirmed that an undocumented Zimbabwean suspect has been arrested.
The incident happened at the Marry Me informal settlement last weekend.
Mchunu says police will not rest until justice is served.
“One person has been arrested out of around five people that are alleged to be involved in the murders. There are two other people who have been called in for questioning as we speak. The police are following all the information and it has led them to those two other people. Police are intensifying their search and their hunt and they are not going to waste any moment until they get satisfied that they’ve rounded off all the culprits.”
